Timelapse video of drawing and inking Mister Bones from DC Comics

Hi friends,

I recently went to my comic shop and saw a local artist’s work displayed. I asked about it and it gave me an idea. So I drew some Marvel and DC Characters on the back of some backing boards (what are backing boards? That’s explained in the video above). I finished two of them and the pencils on the 3rd one are complete. I dropped off the two completed ones at the shop and one of the two owners looked them over and seemed to like them. I have some ideas for how I can do more of these and do a but of marketing with them but we’ll discuss that in another post.

I learned a lot making these. I really pushed myself to take my craft to the next level and I think these show a lot of growth. I’ll be posting all the completed pieces in a substack newsletter soon.
