Updates About Comics Odyssey
Hi Friends, just a few quickfire updates for everyone.
For those of you who bought Spirit-Girl before Christmas, your books have been sent off, keep an eye on your mailbox! Thank you for your support and happy reading!
Sales are still open for Spirit-Girl #3 (Click here to buy. ) and I have the inks to print a second batch of books for the comic shop who will be selling an exclusive cover variant. I’ll update on that when it’s available.
We have started a new series of videos on youtube called Transmissions From the Dollar Bin. The concept is simple, I pick up stuff that catches my eye in the dollar bin of my local shop, we look through them and give our impressions. Nothing complicated. I linked to the first episode below. Sub to our youtube channel if you want to be notified of future episodes (we’re close to 1000 subs!). This substack newsletter will remain dedicated to the regular Comics Odyssey podcast, articles and updates about Spirit-Girl.
Regarding the Comics Odyssey podcast and Transmissions From the Dollar Bin, James is unfortunately no longer the regular co-host. He had to take on a job which conflicted with the recording schedule. The regular co-host is now Henry ( Henry Brown ). For all you James fans, do not despair! James will still be making occasional appearances on the podcast.
According to the year end survey, readers want more articles! And so more articles there shall be! I’m trying a weekly schedule with a new article dropping every Friday. I will keep that schedule as long as I can but can’t promise an article every Friday for the whole year. Let’s see how it all goes!
Spirit-Girl #4 is completely thumbnailed and I will be starting pencils on it soon.
And that’s it! See you in the next one!

I enjoyed James' insights, but Henry definitely started with a bang! He clearly knows something about the Golden Age and that alone made the podcast a delight. (When you were talking about Plastic Man posing as a criminal, I thought of Matches Malone, but of course the Green Hornet is a much better comparison!)
Bring back James! Bring back James!
Oh, wait...
