This video is an excerpt from yesterday’s livestream where I discuss the plans I have for Comic Book Odyssey. I was going off the top of my head and discussing the intent more than the practicalities. So here’s a short text supplement to that video. The timeline below is estimated and will be adjusted as time passes.
Short Term Plans: now-2025
Get a limited run of Spirit-Girl #1 printed. We are still dealing with error shipment. We have one last ink cartridge left to receive. We should be able to test out the printer by end of August.
Complete Spirit-Girl #2. So far I’ve roughed in 13 of 18 pages. Mystery of the bison stampede solved, main villain introduced.
Mid Term Plans: 2025
Complete the first 4 issue arc of Spirit-Girl and collect them into a graphic novel. I estimate this will be 60-70 pages long. This will include a villain backstory and climax of the arc with resolution.
Long Term Plans: 2026-2028
Spirit-Girl issues 1-12. This includes a mix of one-shots and a bigger multi-issue arc which you could call an event style story. These stories will introduce new heroes, villains and creatures. More areas of Northland will be explored.
Super Long Term Plans: 2028-2035
Spin off stories featuring new heroes and villains. Probably one-shots or short arcs.
Begin beta testing a role-playing game set in Northland. This will use the FATE core rules. The aim is to build and publish game packs which characters and game settings with relevant stats and information for players to use in their own adventures.
